Noir in bloom means a poetic contrast between darkness and life, merging the French word noir (black) with the vitality and opening of a flower (in bloom). It represents hidden beauty and resilience—things that grow, open, or find expression in shadows.
Resilient magnolia leaves—which survive harsh weather long after the flower dies—are known to symbolize the unyielding endurance and memory of Black individuals and activists.

Meet the Founder
I Created the Community I Was Searching For
I'm a California native who spent several years living in Atlanta, where I experienced the power of intentional community among Black women. Surrounded by lifelong friends, Spelman sisters, and new connections, I discovered what it feels like to truly gather with purpose—to celebrate, support, and grow together.
When I returned to the Bay Area, I was searching for meaningful experiences where Black women could build genuine friendships, invest in their well-being, and connect beyond networking or social events. When I couldn't find the community I was looking for, I created it.
I've always loved bringing people together and creating experiences where women feel welcomed, seen, and inspired.
That passion became Noir in Bloom.
Professionally, I've dedicated my career to education and leadership, currently serving as a Vice President at a California community college. I'm also a proud graduate of Spelman College, Howard University, and Saint Mary's College of California. As a mother of three, I understand the many seasons women navigate, and I believe we all deserve spaces that nurture our wellness, purpose, relationships, and personal growth.
Noir in Bloom is more than a brand—it's a community where Black women can gather with intention, cultivate meaningful connections, and continue blooming in every season of life.
